these exciting rides! If you have special needs, we are happy

Sky
Safari
Put your toes in the treetops as you glide over the zoo’s African
exhibit! The Sky Safari is the first new feature of the zoo’s $10.5
million African Journey display. You’re sure to enjoy the thrill of
this birds-eye view of the zoo. Right now, you won’t see any
lions or zebras, because the African Journey is under construction.
But you will see plenty of Bobcats and Caterpillars – construction
vehicles, that is!
Who can ride the Sky Safari?
• Must be age 2 or older to ride.
• Maximum 3 people and 350 pounds per chair
• Anyone under 50” tall must ride with an adult
• Only one rider under 42” tall per chair
• All riders must be able to sit up without assistance
Zoo
Train
Hop on board our miniature train at the zoo train station. The shiny
red engine pulls four passenger cars through a tunnel and Fort
Wayne’s 306-acre Franke Park. The train is a handcrafted, scaled
replica of an original 1863 C. P. Huntington locomotive.
Endangered
Species Carousel
This magical carousel depicts endangered species from Southeast
Asia. Children and adults alike enjoy the thrill of riding one
of these colorful figures.
River
Ride
G’day, mates! Climb into your own dugout canoe and explore the
Outback at the Australian Adventure. You’ll float past
dingoes, Australia’s wild dogs. Up ahead, you’ll see our mob
of eastern grey kangaroos. Watch for little joeys peeking out
of mom’s pouch! Don’t miss the brightly colored birds in the
walkabout aviary.
Pony
Ride
A ride on one of the zoo’s gentle ponies brings a smile to every
child’s face. Have your camera ready as the pony strolls the ring
with your child on board! Be sure to find out your pony’s name
when you ride. Each pony has an engraved silver nameplate on its
bridle.
